Welcome to Mrs. Russell's Website.

After working in London for 13 years as a Mathematics teacher for 11-18 year olds (secondary school), I came to Atlanta 5 years ago and taught at River Eves and Northwood Elementary schools, as well as Holy Redeemer Catholic School.  This is my first year at State Bridge Elementary, where I am enjoying teaching 4th grade.  My Bachelor's degree is in International Relations & Mathematics from the University of Keele, while my Master's is in Mathematics Education from the University of Cincinnati.  I received my Specialist Degree in July 2009 from Lincoln Memorial University.  I did my teacher training at the Roehampton Institute in London.

Although I am originally from London, I live in Atlanta with my American husband, Ted, who is also a Fulton County teacher.  Ted is an ex-Marist and Rhodes College football player, and he has introduced me to the world of American football.  However, he enjoys my football (soccer) too, and we have been to a few soccer games together in England.  We enjoy travelling, and have a list of places that we want to see together.  I enjoy going to the theater and reading classics.  I grew up learning classical piano, but now just play for leisure.
